Posted by EchozAurora Aug. 11, 2008 @ 3:50 AM EDTFirst off.. new songs!!
The most recent (and in my opinion.. the best) is my remix of the Gorillaz' Feel Good Inc. Echoz- Feel Good Rmx. Check it out!
Also, check out my remix of Ian Van Dahl's Castles in the Sky. Echoz- Castles
And.. last, but not least.. Circuits of Sorrow. It's my MAC 08 piece.
Now.. for the other part. Raveolution.
Project Raveolution will be debuting August 16th at the Billiards Blue Room in Springfield, MO. This also coincides with the Midwest Audio Meet! Check out the topic here in the Audio Forum! Also, for more information, check out Project Raveolution's website at ProjectRaveolution.com

Also, I've got the music submission email setup. If you have something you'd like for me to spotlight at a Project Raveoltution event, submit your stuff to: music@projectraveolution.com
The first event is in a month, so start submitting tracks soon, and I'll start putting together a setlist for the event.

I've got a synthpop song in the works that I'm too lazy to finish called "The Happy Song", which hopefully I'll get around to finishing and posting here in the next week or two. I've got a demo on my myspace if you want to take a look.
As for the other thing. I'm working on something called Project Raveolution, an electronic dance club for my area.. which hell.. in the middle of America, isn't something you see much. I'm going to rent a local venue, get a few djs together, build a lighting rig, get some merch together.. and try to get a regular operation going, that hopefully I can expand to other places once I've got it established here.
This is where you can help. I'm going to be collecting lots of music to play at these events. It'll be great exposure, as I hope to get at least 200-250 people even to the first one, and I'll make sure to print out setlists of the djs so people can go check them out later. If you have any trance, dnb, dance.. anything that is electronic and danceable, that you'd like me to try to fit into a set and play at an event, post links here and I will go through and pick the best to spin in one of my sets at a Project Raveolution event.
Oh yeah.. I forgot to mention, I will also be putting a website together for this later, which will probably include profiles of contributors that I can link to your ng profile, myspace, whatever.. for extra exposure. I also will be setting up an email and whatnot specifically for the event... once I have the site and email set up.. I will post that here so you can submit stuff that you may want to use, but won't fit on NG (or hq versions, etc)

A week ago, an agent from Warner Electronica, a branch of the Warner Music Group (Major Label!!!) contacted me about electronic music production and my abilities. Well, yesterday I signed a deal to get some studio time in the summer, and maybe even to do a tour in Europe in the fall. I'm really excited, as getting these kinda results were pretty unexpected.. but kinda sad at the same time, as I will be so busy with all of this that I may not be in the community as much.
I'll always remember all the help and comraderie I experienced on the site though, and I'll do my best to stop in from time to time.
Best of luck to ya all.

I've posted the demo on myspace, which you can check out here: http://www.myspace.com/echozaurora
The full song should be coming soon here though.

I'm gonna be there for a week with my roommate, who is there visiting family.. but didn't want to drive up by himself. (I'm gonna be hella bored)
So yeah, anyone want to party? =]

I submitted a very low-Q demo around then... but only now have I finally gotten around to breaking up and submitting the whole chunk.
For your downloading convenience, I have split it into three movements.
(Full track linked here soon)
So yeah, post any comments or whatever below, and I'll try to take any advice in mind when I get to working on more parts, if I ever get back around to it.
Updated: 02/05/08 6:06 PM 2 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!Well, it's the first thing I've ever won on the site, so that's pretty cool.
(lol CAC.. MAC)
I was pretty surprised though, the one I thought would win got 3rd.. (ID's TrippiChrunched Christmas)
But there were a lot of other good entries too.
Anyway though, I can't wait to run around in my NG t-shirt, because that will be teh awesome.
2 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!I've got all the parts in line for my new computer. All I need to do is order them.. and soon, I'll be receiving an upgrade times... like 10..
256mb 133mhz ram ---> 2x 1GB 800mhz ram
crapass old Celeron processor ---> AM2 Socket Processor, dual-core, 2.2ghz
20GB HD ---> 160GB HD (for starters... lol)
I'm also going to put in a decent video card, and I'm not too sure what I will end up with, audio-wise.. I might go with what I get in the kit for a bit, because it isn't that bad.. but I will probably plan for something much nicer in the future.
Upgradability is a good thing.
3 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!I'm trying to figure out a way to upload a 20min song to Newgrounds....
Only one problem... it is like 21MB.
The limit is 8.
I will screw about with the bit rate and see if I can get it within the limit while retaining decent quality... that will be interesting to say the least.
In the meantime, go check out the reload of Skyscraper, I fixed the old problem, so it sounds good now.
I also uploaded my reworking of Orbital Reflections, it's pretty sweet.
Other than that, I'm looking into getting a stronger, faster machine... so I can work harder (LOL) with my music... because I don't like my creativity being restrained my my computer.
So, sometime in the (relatively) near future, expect to see greatness.. and a rebirth of Echoz Aurora.
