Smooth as glass

I wish that I you had finished this before I made a DrumNBass mix for my car, because this would be on it. Nice glitchwork, and a good solid beat you got there. Maybe increase the lows a bit more, that's about all I have for constructive criticism.
Overall, a tight track. I hope to hear more like this in the future.

dj-padman1 responds:

nah, the cops would pull you over for noise pollution.
Please send me half of the cost of a police ticket in your precinct.

Seriously though, you're dead right about the lows, the mix is a little bit limp. I've got no excuses, I should have re-evaluated it with a clear head!>!
Thanks man, always good to hear from you.

A delicious DnB sandwich

Your music is amazing. This is definitely no exception. You get my 5, not that you need it. The way you layer everything makes this a treat for the ears. There is so much going on, yet it is all clear, and makes musical sense... yet it is DnB. That is almost an oxymoron, but you made it work.
This track puts Paragon to shame.
Can't wait to hear more, keep it up.

cornandbeans responds:

Thanks man! I'm not too sure about the whole Paragon thing though, he's got a lot of talent and respect here. But I won't stop you from saying it. ;P

One of my inspirations to this track was Pendulum's "Hold Your Colour." That track combined the hardcore DnB elements with euphoric melodies, which blew me away. Thanks for picking up on that. ;)

And as always, thank you for the review!

~cornandbeans

btw, I'll take all the 5's I can get. :P

No bias whatsoever.

Great job on this track. I love the varied use of synth, especially the creative use of the FL guitar plugin. If I didn't throw my MP3 player into the laundry, this would go on it. The percussion is definitely mastered better overall from the original, and I like how all the different parts drive each other and work off of each other for the final effect.
Can't wait to hear more stuff like this.

Sylacone responds:

Thankzzzzz, lol. Yeah, i think you helped me with the percussion... yeah, i bluntly remember that. anyway. People!! Review this song dammit! (Pardon french)

good try, you'll get there

the instrumentals were all right on, and sounded great. the vocals... i understand that you have a crappy mic, I do too (which is part of why I haven't tried anything with it yet) However, you should be able to easily clean up the WAV file for your vocals. Maybe you should try using a vocoder, that would help things quite a bit, especially while you are working on the singing aspect. They work wonders when adding vocals into your songs, and cover up most mistakes in your recording.

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

I would if I could, but I havent really learned how yet. But I will get there.

It's DnB =]

I think the genre you are looking for is DnB.
And this is good, not supposed to be clear or smooth, and it is solid. Good job, this would be great for a crazy fight scene. I like the track, keep it up!

Sylacone responds:

K thanks, I appreciate your review. And I will keep it up. Believe it or not, this song was made in about 2 mins. I was feeling good that day... The only bad thing is, i cant change it now cause the FLP got messed up and doesnt sound the same anymore. But its good, it dont need to be redone.

Great work!

You have excellent skill in composition, and it definitely shows here. This reminds me a lot of Soul Caliber, it would work well for that I think. I can't wait to hear what you come up with next!

MaestroRage responds:

I love that game! I used to be unbelievingly, nerdly good with Kilik in the second, and my own custom sickle user in the third... man they made that weapon so overpowered. The button mashers dream!

In any case, i'm glad you liked the track and felt it was Soul Caliber worthy. Thank you for the review Echoz, I have to say your stuff is pretty damn impressive as well, do keep me informed when new releases come out!

DANCE!

Blending GOA with Trance.. DDRish. made me want to bust out the glowsticks. good job. you get my 5

AphelionX responds:

ddrish lmfao wow finally someone says that yay im happy thanks for your ratings

Good Job!

I liked the diversity of sounds. I don't know if you have ever tried it, but if you like to experiment with different sounds, try recording different things and plugging them into your sampling program. Completely random objects will often sound really cool through the right filter. By the way, I fixed those links.
