"Can't believe it took me so long to see this."
The first song I heard of yours was Kindred, and I think I like this even more...
Wow... just awesome. So peaceful and entrancing. This is exemplary of vocal trance... just... yeah... wow.
Anywho, I'm now looking forward to picking up FL9 even more so I can take a look at this from the inside of that beast.

I'll have to check out the stuff on your site as well now =D

The douchebags that vote anything less should have their genitals mauled by a SlapChop!
Now that that's out of the wayy...
Yet again, great work Mr Solus with your classicalesque compositions of awesomeness. And of course, much praise is also due to Lira for the amazing vox work.
5/5, 10/10 Guiz. Dunno how you'll top this Solus, but I look forward to seeing you try.

"And being a Xenogears nut..."
Here's your review.
It's awesome. You didn't really change the feeling, but you orchestrated it in such a way that it really brings forth the mysterious feeling set forth in the game.
If they ever remade it on a modern console (oh god I wish), this would be very appropriate to use in it.
If you do ever get around to playing the full game, there is a really epic-sounding song that is played aboard the Yggdrasil (the crazy sandmarine/submarine/airship you end up traveling in throughout the game)... that could definitely use a similar remix/cover.
Author's Response:
is that the one that sounds sorta tribal? 'Cuz I think I;ve heard it -ive listened to all the music from the game.. just.. never played the game hahaha :P
thanks for the review!

Srsly.
I drop this song into sets all the time. It's so heavy and badass sounding, and at a perfect tempo and blend of genres that I can mix it into almost anything it seems.
Dubstep, Goa, Psytrance, House, fuck.. even Dancehall Reggae.
Crazy awesome song man. May many more 5s come your way.
(And make moar plox =D )

Definitely portrays that classic RPG boss feel. Very good work on conveying that.
I dunno what to say outside of that.. maybe a level adjustment on the lead when it starts doing the stabs around 1:10 as it kinda jumps on top of the melodic fluteish line in the background.. maybe a gradual build from a lower volume there would be more appropriate.
And on that note, I'm going back to spend the rest of my night playing an old PS1 rpg. =D
Author's Response:
I like Skies of Arcadia myself : )
That's some good advice you gave in regards to 1:10... thanks for that.
Thanks for the review too!

I'd say I've been waiting for this for a while, lol.
And it's instantly going into the collection of things I spin. Very nice full-on stuff you have going here.
I can't wait for the next =D

That was a long intro.... lol
I was sitting there for 2 minutes saying... when's he gonna drop the wob!?
Overall though, I'm rather satisfied with the track. The crazy fx and minimalist percs give it a nice psychedelic feel as well. This has gotta be some of the most experimental sounding dubstep I've ever heard.
Anyway, good job. I'd have liked for there to have been a larger melodic element in the bass, but it still definitely leaves the listener satisfied. =D
5/5, 9/10 -Echoz
You should definitely mess around with making more sometime.
Author's Response:
I used the wob as a kind of "melody" I guess you could say. I didn't want to use it all the way through the song (since it has a considerable amount of bass and I didn't wanna ruin that through the whole song, make it have more of an impact when it comes in) so I used cool bongos and other shit to make some cool sounding patterns. Honestly, I'm not quite sure how close I even got to the genre haha...
Thanks for the review though! Keep it easy dude, and I'll think about making more of this :) It was pretty fun.
