I was DJing a party Saturday night with DJ Sketch and we had to leave my PC and monitor there because we didn't have a way to get it all home. The homeowner promised it'd be alright and said they'd lock everything up, but someone broke in and stole a bunch of stuff.. musical equipment.. and my pc and monitor.

Neither are worth a whole lot.. the specs on the desktop were minimal.. it had only a gig of ram, and about 150 gigs of HD space spread across two drives. It ran on XP Service Pack 2. There's even a dvd drive, just a cd tray. Also, it has (at least had) a wireless keyboard/mouse adapter sticking out of a port in the back. The IBM monitor is a late 90's model, with a weird stand and integrated speakers, with one cover missing.

Sooo... yeah.. the Zerobombcast will probably be on hiatus again for a good while. It really pisses me off, because I finally got moved into the new apartment and (would) have good internet access that is more than reliable enough to start doing regular broadcasts again.

Also, I was working on some brand-new Goa and Psytrance (MY FIRST FUCKING GOA TRACK EVER) which was also on the pc, and isn't backed up anywhere.

Anyway, if anyone somehow runs into it (if you live near Springfield MO.. most likely) or has a decent PC or laptop they'd like to donate to my production and DJing, you'll get into any show I DJ for free, and get any future releases for free as well, regardless of if they go to a label.

Write you serial numbers down too... yeah.. I used to have everything backed up online.. but XDrive closed and I'd yet to get something else to back it up with.

Yeah, I was planning to at some point. At the very least, getting a new laptop for DJing and such. I just moved though.. so it'll be a while before I can afford something else good.

Yeah... and.. as I found out the hard way... it's good to have it online or on a separate device... having a second hard drive in the pc doesn't do shit for you if it is stolen as well.

Possibly. And there's an even better chance of one of my friends catching them.. as it is likely someone that I or a friend knows. It helps that I'm a local DJ and know a shit-ton of people.

And if I find it with my files gone... wellll..... they're fucked lol.

I think you should make backups of your work (when you get a new PC) every month, or every two/three months. And don't be discouraged because you lost wip's, if you could make something once you can do it again, and probably better, it will be more frustrating but you'll finish it eventually.

Yep... and don't worry... I'll definitely get stuff going again. I've gotten into a real mindset for crankin out Goa and Psy, so I'm planning on getting back to production soon.

Fortunately, Torq is registered and such, and I can easily redownload it.

Also, my boss is letting me use his old computer (Which is really similar to the one I had) as a temporary replacement. So... I'll be back to DJing by the weekend probably. I've got to re-find a metric shit-ton of stuff though..

Hell.. I'mma make a new post. lol.
